“ Our server was awesome. Knew the plates really well, and was super considerate. I was worried about the spice of one dish and thought it could be too hot, but he then brought it out with the sauce on the side so I could dip as I like! Really kind and I loved the food that bit more because of it. Also, Amazing price! Like very surprisingly cheap for really good food. Highly recommend! ”
“ This place is as close as it gets to an Asian street food experience! At first glance, the dishes look plain but do not be deceived as they consist of multiple levels of flavour! I love the fact that the kitchen is open and you can observe where the magic is happening! The staff is efficient and polite and the prices are cheap, especially for city centre standards. The music could be a bit lower as this is not a bar (at least it did not give me that impression!) and although the stools are fine for the younger generation, including some chairs could make it accessible to non-stool lovers too! ”
“ Went here for a quick lunch with my girlfriend today, I had the chilli chicken skewers and beef noodles soup, she had the Bangkok wings and chicken pad thai. The wait staff were absolutely lovely, not overbearing at all but we didn't feel ignored, very polite and helpful. Food was absolutely phenomenal, spices were full in flavour and everything felt really balanced as well. The skewers were marinated in a sweet chilli that wasn't too sweet, and the broth for the noodles was very rich and filling. My girlfriend said her pad thai was very light, flavourful and well seasoned, as well as her portion of wings being larger than she expected and the marinade being really flavourful as well. Everything was cooked super well, chicken was juicy and pulled apart easily, and the beef slices were soft and had a nice chew to them. I've ate a good bit of Thai food, and this was definitely up there especially at the price point it's at - must be one of the most bang for your buck places to eat in Glasgow. Atmosphere as well was lovely, music was energetic but not too loud, lighting was nice, and the overall design of the restaurant was very open and social, I feel like if we arrived at a busier time (we went on an early evening on Thursday) then the place would be an absolute buzz. We were eyeing up Ting Thai for a while, and now having been I can absolutely say it's a great idea to get yourself down here with some friends for good, well priced food. ”
“ Smashing pit stop for a quick bite. Booked in advance, had the table for a hour on a late Saturday afternoon.. service is great, helpful & super quick. Great big menu, lots of variety to satisfy all tastes. Good selection of drinks too. ”
“ The khao soi was phenomenal and I absolutely loved it. Perfect level of spice mixed with delicious creamy broth. The service was also amazing, we had to wait for a little bit for a table and they gave us free prawn crackers for waiting, so nice!!! My only thing was that the thai iced tea had no condensed milk in it, which is how I’ve always had it served at Thai places and part of what makes a thai iced tea. This tea was still pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but just didn’t have that creaminess that other thai iced teas have. ”
“ We had a very enjoyable lunch. All staff were very friendly and glad to help with selecting dishes. Reasonably priced for the city centre. ”
“ Third trip in 2 years to this spot. Forest excellent, second deteriorated, third this week 10/10. Keep in mind my wife is born and bred in Bangkok, And a great thao cook. Difference in three visits was second time chefs were clearly not Thai, even to my eye and palate. Obviously rectified,Pad Kra Pao with rice & Pad See Ew real street food quality. Staff passed on to chefs they were serving a Thai so hotter than normal and great. Icing on cake was waitress, who was a Brit, started speaking Thai to my wife, that got my total respect. Obviously middle visit was a blip, now Thai cooks in charge up to high standard and Thai speaking serving staff...above and beyond.... And still very well priced. ”
“ Excellent Thai food. Brought back so many memeories of Thailand. Wonderful flavors. We had the Khoa Soi and the Panang curry. Bothe were excellent. They could have been a bit spicier, but then most people here would not be able to eat them. You can always add some heat. Good sized portions. The service was great and atmpshere congenial. Prices were very reasonable. They have beer and cider on tap. ”
